Auction House celebrate 10th anniversary at Annual Conference
The group held its 10th anniversary conference at the Woodland Grange Conference Centre in Leamington Spa earlier this month (Thursday 15 June), which was attended by over 100 member and supplier delegates. The company also announced that it is refreshing its brand, maintaining red as the dominant colour, but with a cleaner, simpler logo.
EIG conference support
David Sandeman, EIG Managing Director and Robert Ramagge, Technical Services Manager from EIG attended the conference taking the opportunity to meet the franchisees and networking across the group.
David Sandeman gave a presentation at the conference on his view from the outside outlining his thoughts for future growth. He talked about how we have to look at what the industry as a whole currently gives to buyers and what this needs to become, for example: providing comprehensive photos and how it is so important that the legal pack is available when the property is marketed. He moved on to cover how the industry can enhance the offering for buyers and talked about the ever increasing presence of the internet in the industry and how online auctions are starting to make inroads.
EIG showcased Sale Vision
EIG showcased their Sale Vision service which allows room auctions to be streamed with video and audio for people to bid via the internet. With this service the auctioneer has a large screen in the room for the benefit of the attendees that not only shows the lot number, address and photo of the lot, but also the current bid. In addition most auctioneers choose to broadcast this live over the internet and add in a live video stream as well.
EIG Managing Director, David Sandeman commented after the event;
"It was great to support the conference and see the industry moving forward embracing technology and the opportunities it brings".
