Auction Data for April 2011

Essential Auction News

David Sandeman, Managing Director Welcome to the May newsletter giving an overview of April's results and preceding periods. The numbers for April 2011 fared well when compared with April 2010 especially when one remembers that the Easter break and the royal wedding fell in the month, leading to many taking a protracted holiday. It is encouraging to see the number of lots being offered remaining steady, and the percent sold moving from 60% in April 2010 to 67% in April 2011. In addition the amount raised was up 6.8% at £162 million.

Kind regards
