June PIN Meeting - Hosted by Trevor Cutmore

EIG Managing Director, David Sandeman was invited as a guest presenter to the Wimbledon PIN monthly meeting to talk about property auctions, where he focused on educating the group about the dangers of special conditions.

Event host, Trevor Cutmore commented afterwards:

"I found David's presentation excellent, really informative, he demonstrates a huge amount of knowledge. He talked about the benefits of the EIG website and especially the dangers of special conditions, I think that was hugely impacting.

I had great feedback, everyone really loved the presentation, they thought it was informative and humourous.

David is a good presenter in the way he uses a bit of humour in there and the audience came back to tell me how they thoroughly enjoyed it. Some people purely came just to see him."

Guide Prices: Why Buyers Should Treat Them as a Guide to the Reserve

Guide prices are one of the most misunderstood elements of the auction process. Too often, buyers treat them as an indication of a property’s value, when in reality they are designed to signal something entirely different, the likely reserve. In an increasingly competitive and dynamic auction market, understanding this distinction is critical to making informed decisions and avoiding costly assumptions.

There’s So Much More Than the Aroma of Hot Coffee…

There’s so much more to selling a property than creating the perfect first impression. While details like fresh coffee, open windows, and careful staging can help set the scene, today’s buyers are looking for something far more important - clarity, confidence, and certainty. And that doesn’t come from how a property feels, but from how well it’s prepared behind the scenes.
