EIG host the Auctioneers Annual Industry Get Together!
13th October 2017
The Royal Thames Yacht Club, Knightsbridge
A fantastic time was had by all celebrating at the EIG 20th Annual Auctioneers Lunch at the Royal Thames Yacht Club. The food was delicious and the wine free flowing as always at our events.
I wanted to say a big thank you from myself and the team at LSH for such a superb afternoon last Friday. We thoroughly enjoyed the new venue that I thought worked very well, and as always, it was enjoyable to catch up with others in our industry - especially to discuss guide prices... I feel this discussion could go on for some time within our business! It goes without saying that I particularly enjoyed catching up with the EIG team. You guys do some much to support us, and we wouldn't have had this opportunity without you and the team providing us with the various platforms that are so key to the running of our business. I would be grateful if you could pass our thanks around the whole team at EIG. I know you all work tirelessly and nothing ever seems to faze you. Many thanks again, as always.OLIVER CHILDSHead of Auctions - Lambert Smith Hampton

Guide Prices: Why Buyers Should Treat Them as a Guide to the Reserve
Guide prices are one of the most misunderstood elements of the auction process. Too often, buyers treat them as an indication of a property’s value, when in reality they are designed to signal something entirely different, the likely reserve. In an increasingly competitive and dynamic auction market, understanding this distinction is critical to making informed decisions and avoiding costly assumptions.

There’s So Much More Than the Aroma of Hot Coffee…
There’s so much more to selling a property than creating the perfect first impression. While details like fresh coffee, open windows, and careful staging can help set the scene, today’s buyers are looking for something far more important - clarity, confidence, and certainty. And that doesn’t come from how a property feels, but from how well it’s prepared behind the scenes.
